MudStopper Mat

The MudStopper track-out mat, also known a Foreign Object Debris System (FODS) is an innovative new solution for reducing the amount of mud and debris that tracks out onto site roads or public highways. A superior alternative to aggregate or steel plates, MudStopper can be installed on virtually any surface including asphalt, concrete, turf, sand and mud.

The MudStopper has a unique pyramid pattern surface which deforms the tyres of vehicles as they pass over it, flexing the tyre treads and sidewalls to crack off the mud and depositing it onto the mat, helping to significantly reduce the amount of mud that is transferred onto site roads and public highways adjacent to the site entrance – the system therefore provides substantial cost savings on street sweeping and cleaning throughout the duration of a project.

A run of mats butted together are usually recommended. The mats should be secured together, then secured to the ground using appropriate fixings. No excavation or substrate is necessary as the mats are secured directly into the ground. Supporting weights up to 80 tonnes, the mats are chemically resistant to substances such acids, oils and brake fluids, and are reusable and 100% recyclable.
